– 1997, Military Service
The decision to join the United States Navy at 17 would prove invaluable in building character and leading to a legal career dedicated to DWI Defense.
The ten years I spent on active duty led to three deployments overseas, visits to over a dozen countries, serving in numerous combat areas in Europe and the Middle East, and being one of the first to New Orleans after hurricane Katrina in 2005.
– 2004, Police Experience
In January 2004 I arrived in Ingleside, Texas for a three year assignment with a military police unit. I served as a Patrolman, Field Training Officer, Assistant Watch Commander, and Watch Commander.
Those three years not only led to massive amounts of training in Police Procedures, DWI detection, and administering Field Sobriety Test; but also, led me to see first hand the areas where law enforcement make mistakes that are beneficial to my law practice. This was the time I set the goal to become an Austin DWI Lawyer and San Antonio DWI Attorney.
– 2013, Founded Steve Bowling Law
In law school I focused on courses and skill building that complemented my prior law enforcement experience in order to ensure I could be the best Austin DWI attorney and best San Antonio DWI lawyer possible when I started my DWI defense law practice.
In the summer of 2012 I was finally able to utilize the knowledge, skill, and past experience in the courtroom…
